If you know of a child who lost a parent on September 11, 2001, please register with Twin Towers Orphan Fund. This will help TTOF identify and qualify those children who are in most need of our help -- now and in the future.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS:

	05/2008 - Park West Galley 9/11 Photograph Sales Photographer Ron Agam created a series of photographs of a 911 series that are photographs he took immediately after the Twin Towers collapsed. Park West Gallery sold some of the photographs and elected to contribute 10% of the sales to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	03/2008 - Lakeside School 7th Grade Class Persuasive Essay Writing Contest Every year Lakeside School's 7th grade is involved in a persuasive essay writing contest. The topic is "Children's Charities". The children research a children's charity of their choice. They then write an essay and present it to their class. Finalists are picked from each language arts class. The 7th grade students then vote on the charity that they would like to donate money to. This year the Twin Towers Orphan Fund won. Over a period of several days a can was passed around during lunch hour and asked students to donate some spare change to help make a change in someone's life. Lakeside collected over $950 in donations for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. This project is started each year when Lakeside School's Counselor, Kris Buckley goes into the 7th grade class to teach them about charities. It is her hope that students begin to understand the important role that charities play in our lives. The teachers, Mrs. LoPresti, Mrs. Neville, Miss Lisante, and Mrs. Tanis worked very hard to inspire their students to do their best possible job. We are very thankfull for their enthusiasm and help.
	1/2008 - Mark Karpman CD Sales Mark Karpman produced a CD which he sells and gives a percentage of the proceeds to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	1/13/2008 & 1/14/2008 - Van Hill Entertainment "Alive in the World" Benefit Concert (for pictures: http://www.broadway world.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=24333) On January 13th and 14th, Van Hill Entertainment presented a benefit concert, "Alive in the World" where the proceeds were donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. The event was an artistic success and the performances were truly memorable. Van Hill Entertainment raised more than $10,000 for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	12/2007 - Student Government Association of Erie Community College North Campus 9/11 Remembrance Pins Sale The Student Government Association of Erie Community College set up a table and sold 9/11 remembrance pins to their college community and chose to donate the profits to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	11/2007 - St. Jude Medical Center Cafeteria Donations Container St. Jude Medical Center placed a container in their cafeteria to collect donations for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	9/10/2007 - Shear Magic Salon & Day Spa Cut-a-Thon On September 10, 2007 Shear Magic Salon & Day Spa held a "Cut-a-Thon" to raise funds for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. They were able to raise $1,400.
	9/2007 - CuraScript SP Jean Days CuraScript strives to make an impact in their community and has created Spirit teams whose team members organize community relation activities. They held "Jean Days" for their fellow team members to raise money for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund for the month of September.
	09/2007 - Immaculate Conception School Dress Down for Charity Day Immaculate Conception School is a small school of 231 children. They held a Dress Down for Charity Day and raised $536 for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	9/11/2007 - The sisters of Sigma Phi Sigma at Wesley College Candle Light Vigil The sisters of Sigma Phi Sigma at Wesley College held a candle light vigil on campus September 11th, 2007 to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 and those who have given their life for us since then. Participants were told that donations would be appreciated and would be donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. With only about 35 students at the vigil the sisters of Sigma Phi Sigma were able to raise $100 for the fund.
	09/2007 - Columbia Paint & Coatings Jerry J. Hamik - Contribution Jar Jerry Hamik, owner of Columbia Paint & Coatings placed a contribution jar on their front counter in their store to raise funds for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	07/2007 - JPMorgan Charity Fundraising Event In early July, JPMorgan interns held a charity fundraising event that raised $791 that was donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc.
	7/7/2007 - Valley Motorsports Co. LLC Benefit Fundraiser and Ride Valley Motorsports hosted a Benefit Fundraiser and ride for their customers and collected over $300 to help support the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc.
	6/22/2007 - Fourth Grade Students at PS 123M in Harlem Community Service Donation The fourth grade students at PS 123M in Harlem decided to get involved in community service in some way. They voted to donate their own money to charity. They brought in their pennies, nickels, dimes, etc. and placed them in a huge jar. Even though they themselves did not have much, they collected $50 that they chose to donate to victims of the 9-11 attacks. Their teacher, Ms. Archie found out about the Twin Towers Orphan Fund and the students agreed to help children like themselves. They wanted to help them after hearing about them losing their parents on that dreaded day. The students donated their $50 to the Fund and Ms. Archie matched that amount to make a total donation of $100. This small act of kindness on the part of her students will help in a big way.
	May 2007 - Anthony Sita Birthday Gifts Donated Anthony Sita is an 8 year old who decided to donate his Birthday Gifts to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. He wanted to donate his Birthday Gifts because he felt "so sad there are kids who don't have parents."
	2006/2007 - Skadden, Aarps Pro Bono Donations Lauren Caruso performed more than 200 hours of pro bono work in the last year and designated the Twin Towers Orphan Fund to receive a $1,000 donation for her work.
	12/22/2006 - Vanessa Kristensen Charity Holiday Party Vanessa Kristensen hosted a charity holiday party at her home in San Jose, CA and requested her guests bring a donation to benefit the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	09/2006 thru 12/2006 - Dean J Baer, LLC The Gift of Freedom Project Dean J. Baer, artist allowed the Twin Towers Orphan Fund to sell his open edition prints of the "Freedom of Expression" on their website with a portion of the proceeds going directly to the Fund. The Gift of Freedom Project ended on December 31st, 2006. The original painting now resides with the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, and the new National Museum of the Marine Corps located in Quantico, VA.
	10/17/2006 - "Kat's Famous Cookies" Sale Kat is 6 years old and was so sad at hearing of the children who lost their parents. She decided to make cookies and sell them to raise funds for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. It was a labor over several weeks and she worked with great enthusiasm and a real desire to do whatever she could to help.
	9/11/2006 - Greater New Orleans Chief Petty Officers' Association Annual Charity Run The Greater New Orleans Chief Petty Officers' Association raised funds on September 11th, 2006 during a four-mile run. The race began at the Navy Reserve Headquarters building on Dauphine Street, preceded through downtown New Orleans to the National D-day Museum on Magazine Street. This is an annual Charity Run held on September 11th by the Chief Petty Officers in New Orleans.
	9/29/2006 - Peninsula Cardiology Associates, P.A. "Casual Day for charity" Peninsula Cardiology Associates hosts a "Casual Day for Charity" event every other Friday on payday. Each participating employee donates at least $1 with the total donations being matched by Peninusula Cardiology.
	9/11/2006 - DBU College Republicans - Blake Vaughn, President "9/11 Never Forget Project" On September 11th, 2006 the DBU College Republicans hosted a 9/11 Memorial where they chose to honor the memories of those lost by offering a small tribute to their children. The memorial consisted of thousands of flags. One important section of the memorial was built as people donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc. For every dollar they contributed, a flag was placed in honor of a victim of the tragic day. A special tribute video was played throughout the day on load speakers for everyone to hear. Overall, the event was a wonderful success, and the DBU College Republicans plan to organize the 9/11 Never Forget Project as an annual event.
	9/11/2006 - The Lakeside School Ribbon Sale The Lakeside School is a small nonprofit special education school located in Orange, NJ. The students sold ribbons on 9/11, 2006, as a way of remembering the tragic events of that day. They donated the money collected to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. So many people in the area lost loved ones or friends on that tragic day and this was the students' way of helping the orphans left behind.
	9/11/2006-9/17/2006 - Thalassa Restaurant Complementary Desserts for Charity During the week of September 11th, Thalassa Restaurant provided complimentary desserts to their clients and the owners donated the cost of the desserts to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc. The cost for desserts that week amounted to $900 and the owners rounded that amount to $1,000.00.
	9/11/2006 - Phazerradio - DJ, Donald Potter Karaoke 12-hour Sing Phazerradio held an event to raise money for the Twin towers Orphan Fund by having a Karaoke 12-hour Sing, with patrons paying to sing.
	9/9/2006 - 9/10/2006 - Independent Wrestling Federation, LLC 24-Hour Charity Wrestlethon IWF established a world-record for the 'Longest Wrestling Match' to benefit several worthy causes. During Wrestlethon, IWF stars competed for 24 consecutive hours in a continuous round-roin match. Family, friends, fans and community members sponsored a wrestler, with 100% procees donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund(ttof.org). A Clothing Collection & Food Drive was hosed at IWF Centre during the Wrestlethon with the items being donated to For a CauseInc at Red Cross of Metro NJ (RedCrossMetroNJ.org). Nonperishable food items were donated to the pantry at The United Way of Passaic County (UnitedWayPassiac.org). Wrestlethon was open to the public and a monetary, clothing or food donation was requested of each visitor. (CampIWF.com).
	9/2006 - Cole Taylor Bank - Monthly Collection for Charity The customer Service Center at Cole Taylor Bank holds a monthly collection for charity. For the month of September they chose the Twin Towers Orphan Fund to receive the donations.
	9/2006 Laura Brosch - Cookies, Cakes and Candy Sale Laura Brosch a first grade teacher at Episcopal School in Miami, FL sold cookies, cakes and candy in the teachers' lounge to raise funds for the Fifth Anniversary of the Twin Towers Tragedy with the proceeds being donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund.
	1/9/2006 - Montville Youth Service Bureau Pancake Breakfast Montville Youth Service Bureau held a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, which raised funds for both the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc. and the Montville Service Youth Bureau.
	9/11/2006 - VNA of Rhode Island Home and Hospice Care "Dress Down to Donate" On September 11th, employees of VNA of Rhode Island took part in a voluntary "Dress Down to Donate" program on September 11th. Each employee who chose to dress down donated $1 to charity which was earmarked to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. 06/2006 - Benefield - London, England Lands End to John O'Groat's Charity Cycle Ride Benefield of London raised 6,870 British Pounds for the Twin Towers Orphan Fund when 8 guys from the London Reinsurance market successfully completed the Lands End to John O'Groat's bike ride in September 2006.
	2/15/2006- Battelle Centers for Public Health Research and Evaluation- Research Study benefiting Charity The Battelle Memorial Institute, under contract with the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, conducted a research study with nearly 10,000 randomly selected adults residing in the United States to learn about injury risk factor data. In appreciation of the time spent on the telephone answering survey questions, each respondent was given the choice of either receiving a $5 phone card or donating the $5 to a charity. Of the respondents, 1594 requested that a contribution be made to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc. on their behalf.
	2/2006 - Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Annual Lincoln Penny Fundraiser During the month of February, Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center holds an Annual Lincoln Penny Fundraiser to benefit a different organization each year. The Resident's Council unanimously decided to donate "pennies" collected this year to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc. to help assist in rebuilding the lives of children who lost parents on September 11th, 2001.
	1/12/2006 - Cloverdale School of Music "Chanting for Healing and Prayer" CD sales Cloverdale School of Music so "Chanting for Healing and Prayer" CDs and donated a portion of those sales to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc.
	9/11/2005 - New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum "Second Annual Car Show" The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum held their Second Annual Car Show and donated the proceeds to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund, Inc. The first car show was held on September 11th, 2004 with the intent to honor those who lost their live and to honor those who gave of themselves in service for their community and country. This is a tradition the Museum hopes to continue for many years to come.
